Our Commitment
My name is Glenda, and I am the trainer behind Diverse Tales.
I pride myself on my passion for helping dogs and their humans build stronger relationships through positive, thoughtful training. My main focus and goal is creating confident dogs, empowered humans, and lasting partnerships between the two.
I focus my passion on helping everyday dogs and their humans live their very best lives together through practical training, guidance, and easy to follow, ongoing support.
I work side by side and collaborate with other trainers and businesses alike, each bringing different strengths and experiences to the table. You will often see me collaborating and working side by side at classes, events, and training sessions, using combined knowledge to provide the very best possible support for both dogs and their people.
I am the founder of Diverse Tales
Dogs have always been part of my story. From the age of two, I grew up alongside Dachshunds and later German Shepherds. My passion for dogs started early, constantly wondering why my mother wouldn’t let me keep every stray dog that followed me home from school.
My love for dogs continued into adulthood, where I discovered firsthand the incredible impact dogs can have while involving Dexter, a hilarious little Maltese Shih Tzu cross, in helping children at school & the difference he made to my own young children at the time.
Before stepping fully into the dog world, I owned and operated a successful florist business for more than 30 years, earning both WA Florist of the Year and Interflora Florist Shop of the Year along the way.
Eight years ago, I began working part time in the veterinary industry, eventually taking over Puppy Preschool at Blair Street Vets in 2021. This sparked the next chapter of my journey, encouraging me to complete my qualifications in Animal Behaviour and Training through IMDT.
Since then, I have continued expanding my knowledge through workshops, seminars, and further education opportunities, always striving to grow as a trainer. I have now trained over 500 dogs through Puppy Preschool alone.
Alongside training, I enjoy a variety of dog sports and therapy based work with my trusty Dachshund, Darcy, proudly proving that Dachshunds are absolutely trainable!
Contact me if I can help with building a strong relationship between you and your beloved dog.
