Group Class Policy At Diverse Tales, We are committed to providing a safe, supportive and enjoyable training environment for both dogs and handlers. Please take a moment to read our group class policies below. Dog Health & Illness Dogs displaying signs of illness, including coughing, vomiting, diarrhoea, or other contagious symptoms, must not attend classes. This is important to help protect the health and wellbeing of all dogs and participants attending our classes, as many illnesses can spread quickly in group environments. Class Cancellations Occasionally classes may need to be cancelled due to unsuitable weather conditions or venue availability. If this occurs, an additional class will be added to the end of the term to make up for the missed session. Missed Classes & Refunds Our group training programs are structured progressively across all 6 classes, with each session building on the previous week’s skills and exercises. For this reason, we are unable to offer refunds, credits or make-up classes for missed sessions. Equipment Requirements All dogs must arrive on a properly fitted flat collar or harness and a standard lead. Retractable leads are not permitted in group classes unless prior approval has been given. Respecting Space To ensure all dogs and handlers feel safe and comfortable, we ask that clients respect each other’s space at all times. Please do not approach other dogs or handlers without prior consent. Handler Age Dogs must be handled by participants aged 15 years or older unless prior approval has been given by one of our trainers. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all dogs, handlers, and participants attending our group classes. Cleanliness & Toileting Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs promptly. Please ensure your dog has had the opportunity to toilet prior to class and help us keep our venues clean by preventing dogs from toileting inside training areas where possible. Safety & Participation For the safety and wellbeing of all participants, aggressive or unsafe behaviour may result in a dog being removed from the group class environment to be assessed individually by one of our trainers. Owners are required to follow the direction and requests of our trainers should this occur. Thank you for helping us create a positive training environment for everyone involved.
